On Friday, June 4th, 2021, FlowPhotoChem Coordinator Dr Pau Farràs, NUI Galway hosted a multi-stakeholder webinar for EU Green Week to present research that is using sunlight to manufacture fuels and chemicals from carbon dioxide and water. New research proposes and offers sustainable manufacturing processes for industries.

Soren Bowadt, Acting Head of Unit, Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) introduced the online meeting with an overview of the European strategy for a zero-emission industrial sector. The webinar went on to showcase six EU-funded projects related to FlowPhotoChem. The morning event titled: Towards Zero Pollution in the Production of Green Fuels and Chemicals amassed more than 165 attendees. Besides FlowPhotoChem, the event involved the following projects and initiatives: Solar2ChemSunCO2ChemOcean ProjectDECADE Project, and the ReCode Project that have received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement Nos 862453, 861151, 862192, 767798, 862030, 768583, respectively, and SUNERGY.
