There is an urgent need to exponentially increase the amount of renewable energy and fuels implemented globally. Access to green and affordable energy is a must in the just energy transition across the globe, and active cooperation programmes between European and African stakeholders can be clear drivers to support this challenging task. FlowPhotoChem's second hybrid Exploitation Workshop ‘EU-Africa Collaborations for a Clean and Just Energy Transition’ assembled 150 stakeholders from Africa and Europe in Kampala, Uganda (10 – 11 September 2024). The workshop:

  • Showcased successful case studies in the renewable energy and fuels space, sharing key advantages and challenges encountered during the design and implementation of the case study projects.
  • Identified barriers and opportunities in funding new ideas for collaboration,
  • Demonstrated key outputs from projects at different stages of technology development, and
  • Facilitated networking between stakeholders.

Below, you can learn more about our speakers and check out presentations from the workshop.
